This was a drawing I did for a chat show in China. The idea was to tell the story of the Monkey King caught in a spider's web, and three panels following that would conclude the story.

ReplyDeleteI didn't realize it was going to be a show with children on it, ages 4 to about 7, so I shifted the rest of the content to: 1 a close up of a yellow hand turning off a TV switch. 2. a close up SpongeBob saying "that monkey King sure is brave" 3.A wide shot of SpongeBob and Gary in front of TV. SB:But that spider is gonna give you nightmares.

I drew the last three on stage surrounded by the kids. Then I pitched them the story. We all were wearing translation headphones.
