LOL. I didn't even write my own header on this, just copied it from Derek Iversen's FaceBook page.
Oh yeah, Derek is in the Documentary too!

Nice.

You'll have to upload it to YouTube for those of us who abhor television or simply don't have one.

Holy effing esse, TEN YEARS?!? Holy crap, they don't make decades as long as they used to, huh?

Congrats, Vince!

Congrats to you and your co- workers on the Spongebob doc. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be around a tv to see the new episodes. I'll have to catch up on it.
In the documentary, I wish they had gone into the animation process in a little more detail. The "Professor of Television" was a little wacky.

On the topic of nautical themed animation; have you ever seen Captain Pugwash? Its a British show from the 50's and 60's that was done in flat cut out animation. They actually do a lot with very limited means, and the animation ends up being not flat at all.
The show was redone in the 80's in straight animation very badly.

Caught the documentary—fun ride! Also just picked up the latest Nick Mag (only a few issues until the magazine is done--sad) and read the interview with you and Steven Banks. After connecting with Robertryan Cory and getting a few stories out of him, I feel like I have a better picture of the process of the show. Little snapshots at least...all very interesting when I compare it to how we produce animation at my studio.

I'm overdosing on SB today. Keep'em coming!

Thanks Thomas, Chris, Trev, MrP.,James, Emily and Bob.
Emily sorry, I deleted one of your posts by mistake.
Bob that was me listed as None on your blog tightrope drawing.

About the Documentary, I would have liked to see a little more behind the scenes stuff, and more from Rough Draft Korea. When Asked by civilians about the show, that is what they want to know about. Not what some "Expert" has to say about what he thinks they should think about the show. Maybe some of it will end up on the DVD.

Totally missed that show on the 14th, but I'm watching the new eps. So far so good, and I really like this season so far. Looking at Cory's Drawings on his Flikr account and it's great to see them in the show.

Got a question though, The Sandy ep seems weird because I saw the original designs that was made for her nude, but she was still in her full bikini outfit while the jokes had her cover herself. I can guess that nick said to leave her cloths on but was that added after the final animation (ala digital Bikini) or before?

great work! it's good you get to represent cartoonists in a good light. No more of that outward nerdy appearance. Now its hotshot status.

Hey Vince,

It's a little late, but I also made a tribute for Spongebob's 10th Anniversary.

I loved the documentary, btw.
