Big Baby Scam Roughs

I cleaned my home office last weekend and boy did it need it. There were vines growing in through the windows, and spiders as big as squirrels hiding inside. I'm pretty sure they were using my fax machine to order pizza. In the process of cleaning out this foul nest, I came across piles and piles of rough drawings. Mostly inspirational stuff that I used to kick start gag ideas.

Ren And Stimpy Settling into their new digs as babies. This is before Ren finds there is a down side to being a baby.

Stimpy enjoying a lovely tree bark snack.

Establishing shot of Stimpy in the tree above the baby's window.

Ren tries to chew the bark but his feeble mandible isn't up to the job.

Mr.Pipe steps outside to talk to a cop that is trying to return his real baby boys.

I think this was the first drawing I did for Baby Scam. We decided that instead of starting out with R&S so happy, we would push Ren's level of misery with his life in the trees.

This is one of two drawings John did for me to explain his theroy on baby fat.

This is the false start I was talking about in the last post.
We decided to milk Ren's misery a bit and do a slower build to finding the solution to his woes.

The house a the tree thumbnail should be reversed.

I loved seeing your drawings on the Classic Ren & Stimpy, along with Bob Camp, Jim Smith, Chris Reccardi, Lynne Naylor, Bill Wray, Stephen Destefano, and Mike Kim.

Wow, these were a ton of fun to look at! Big Baby Scam was always one of my favorite episodes, for some reason watching Ren and Stimpy gnaw on tree bark left me in hysterics.

Love this series of sketches. Its cool to see the process of storyboarding unfolding. The drawings are spot on....the bark knawing is priceless.

Man, funniest 'fatty and skinny' comedy duo of all time. SO many good shapes! I'm inspired. I go draw now...

These are great to look at, thanks Vincent!

I love his baby theories- he sees through the cute facade to the real ugly nature they have to offer.
